Something new?

Salam my beautiful friends,

I’m back after a stressful but short period of time. Anyway, I am trying new things.

Yup you heard me right. For Ramadan, I’ve decided to get out of my comfort zone and I refuse to wear makeup for the whole month. It is a self acceptance thing, I think? Well I want to love myself more, and as the days go by I find myself prettier even WITHOUT makeup, something that I’ve found impossible weeks ago. I’m trying new things. 

I LOVE the definition of beauty in Islam.

Allah’s creation is the most beautiful. It is true, when you think about it, and I couldn’t imagine myself any different than I am now. My biggest insecurity used to be my nose, but not anymore. I couldn’t imagine myself with a smaller, or a straighter nose. Or with plumper lips. No. I’m beautiful the way He made me.

Beauty lies in a soft, gentle tone. Now this is a little harder for me. I mean, I try to be soft spoken, but yeah, filtering my words is a little harder than one might think. But hey, I’m trying..

I’ve realized that my beauty comes out of my character and my kindness, and the only glow up I NEED, is in that department.

Anyway, DON’T FORGET: YOU ARE TRULY BEAUTIFUL THE WAY YOU ARE CREATED.
